A zany look at the creation of the Garden of Eden by the accomplished and well-known Namibian artist, Erik Schnack and master animator, Robert Scott (Omuninyan 2005), featuring the futuristic characters Jugglethorn, Junior, Shakira and Aerial.
Inspired by the mythological beginnings of humanity in the Garden of Eden, the action, however, takes place against the well-known back-drop of the Namib Dunes and sparse Namibian plains.
Jugglethorn represents the first human male as antihero, evolving to portray the cyclic tale of man on Earth and his relationship with machine and nature. Shakira in turn blows kisses to the wind and the seasons are born. The intriguing narrative speaks of birth, growth, purpose, evolution, heritage and death with black humour. |
