Etosha National Park, Namibia's premier wildlife park and tourism hotspot, celebrates its centenary on March 22nd 2007. 'Chums' as the original inhabitants, the Heikum San, call it, mesmerizes and hypnotizes the human spirit through its massive waterless saline pan, formed, according to local lore, when the tears of a Heikum mother, who lost her child, evaporated.

Namibian filmmaker Tim Huebschle, of Pretty Cow Movies, commissioned by media conglomerate Democratic Media Holdings, has now produced this insightful film packed with the fascinating historical and ecological facts of this unique region. Using archival film footage from 1925 to 1982 and intertwining it with lingering wide-angle footage and informative interviews 100 Years of Etosha should be prescribed viewing for all Namibians.
